What this site is
Gun Show Schedules is a national calendar of gun, knife, and outdoor shows. One page, every state, every upcoming date we can verify — with the venue name, the street address, the hours, and the promoter running it.
That is the entire product. We are not a marketplace, a forum, or a dealer. Nothing on this site can be bought, sold, or transferred. We tell you where the shows are and when they open the doors.
Why we built it: the existing directories in this niche are comprehensive and genuinely useful, but most of them were designed before smartphones. People search for shows from the passenger seat on a Saturday morning. A directory that loads slowly, buries the address, or lists a show that was cancelled in March is worse than no directory at all.
How listings get verified
Every event card carries a Verified badge and a Checked date. That date is not decoration — it is the last time a human confirmed the listing against a primary source.
Where the data comes from
- Promoter schedules. The multi-state promoters publish rolling schedules on their own sites. These are our anchor sources and they account for most of the national show volume.
- Venue calendars. Fairgrounds, expo centers, and civic centers publish event calendars that surface the smaller independent shows a promoter-only sweep would miss.
- Direct submissions. Promoters and organizers submit their own dates. Every submission goes through review before it appears.
How we keep it current
- Events disappear from the calendar automatically the day after they end.
- Every listing carries a publicly visible last-checked date, so you can judge the freshness yourself instead of trusting us.
- Listings that go too long without re-verification get flagged for review.
- Anchor promoter sources are re-swept on a fixed cycle.
The honest caveat: shows get cancelled, rescheduled, and relocated on short notice, sometimes days out. We chase changes as fast as we hear about them, but we are downstream of the promoter. Confirm with the promoter or venue before you make a long drive. Every listing links back to its source for exactly that reason.
What you will find on a listing
Dates & Hours
Full run dates and door times per day, not just the opening morning.
Venue & Address
The building name and full street address, mapped, so navigation is one tap.
Promoter
Who runs the show, so you can check their other dates or ask about tables.
Last Checked
The verification date, in the open, on every single card.
What we do not do
This boundary is deliberate and permanent:
- No sales. We do not list firearms, ammunition, or accessories for sale, and we never will.
- No classifieds. No private-party listings, no person-to-person transfer features, no want ads.
- No transfer facilitation. We do not connect buyers to sellers in any form.
- No legal advice. Firearm law varies by state, county, and city, and it changes. We are a calendar. Attendees are responsible for knowing and following the law wherever they are.
For promoters
Listing a show is free and always will be — a directory missing half the country is not worth visiting. If you run shows, send us your schedule and we will get it on the calendar. If something on your listing is wrong, tell us and we will fix it the same week.
Who runs it
Gun Show Schedules is operated by Scout Theory LLC as an independent publication. We are not affiliated with any promoter, venue, retailer, manufacturer, or advocacy organization, and no promoter can buy their way to the top of a state list.
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission on lodging bookings or gear purchases at no additional cost to you. This never affects which shows are listed or how they are ordered. See our Privacy Policy for the full disclosure.
